I do not know how to find this answer. Please help

In a certain game, the probability of getting a red outcome is 0.38 Find the probability of getting an outcome that is not red. Show your answer as a decimal, not as a percent.

____________

Ricardo’s car rental offers five different types of vehicles, compact cars (CC), midsize cars (MC), sport utility vehicles (SUV), vans (V), and luxury cars (L).

Historically, if a random individual comes to rent a vehicle, the following probabilities apply:

P(CC) = 0.16

P(MC) = 0.38

P(SUV) = 0.12

P(V) = 0.24

Find the probability that an individual would not rent a van (V). Show your answer as a decimal; do not show your answer as a percent.

First one is asking for the probability of “failure” so to speak so the answer is 1 – 0.38

    Second one:

    We want the probability of not renting a van, which is 1 – P(V) = 1 – .24

    P(Red) = 0.38, then P(Not Red) = 1 – P(Red) = 0.62

    P(Not Van) = 1 – P(V) = 1 – 0.24 = 0.76

For the second part, you might want to check your numbers since the total does NOT add up to 1.
